Executive Director, UN Women UK
Tabitha is the Executive Director of UN Women UK, working to ensure every woman and girl has access to safety, choice, and a voice. UN Women is the only global organisation dedicated to achieving gender equality through grassroots programmes, attitude change, and policy reform.
Raised on a council estate in Liverpool and leaving school at age 10, Tabitha defied the narrow expectations imposed by her conservative upbringing. This fuels her drive to challenge limiting norms and fight for equality.
In 2023, she became Chair of the domestic abuse charity Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse, furthering her commitment to ending gender-based violence.
Previously, she was Deputy Leader of the Women’s Equality Party and led a cross-party campaign group tackling climate change, political representation, and mental health reform. Tabitha also spent 15 years in the construction industry, becoming the first woman on the UK board of her company.
Quote
“I’m looking forward to taking part in the Travel Summit as we redefine how we explore the world, not just as tourists, but as changemakers. Women have always been central to the story of travel and hospitality, yet too often underrepresented at decision-making levels. Elevating women across this industry isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s a powerful driver of economic growth and community resilience. When women lead, economies thrive, and travel becomes a tool for real, inclusive transformation.”
