Editor, An Unstoppable Journey
Monique is a travel and running writer, content creator and speaker behind An Unstoppable Journey, where she chronicles destination racing, expat life and reinvention.
An American who has lived in the Netherlands for 27 years, she writes about the deliberate work of building a life she chose rather than the one she landed in.
Monique has completed more than 100 half and full marathons across all seven continents and in more than 50 countries. She channels this experience into her running-focused platform, A RUNstoppable Journey, which she is also developing into a destination-running tour business connecting travellers with lesser-known races around the world.
Monique recently completed certifications in high-conflict divorce coaching and trauma recovery. She now helps women rebuild a life of their own choosing following the end of a marriage.
Quote:
“I said yes because I’ve spent years travelling to races alone, almost always somewhere near the back of the pack — and both of those things taught me something: solo isn’t a compromise, and slow isn’t a shortcoming. IWTTF matters because it’s a room that takes women’s presence in travel seriously, not as a footnote but as the story. If you’ve ever travelled, run or rebuilt something alone and wondered whether that counted as enough — it does, and this is the room that says so.”
