CEO, Eurostar
Gwendoline Cazenave is Chief Executive Officer of Eurostar. Since joining the company in September 2022, she has led Eurostar through a period of transformation, bringing together Eurostar and Thalys to create Western Europe’s largest international high-speed rail network, while driving the company’s next phase of growth through a major investment in a new double decker fleet and the expansion of the international high-speed rail network.
She brings extensive leadership experience across the transport, mobility and services sectors, with expertise in strategy, finance, transformation and corporate governance.
Before joining Eurostar, Gwendoline held a number of executive leadership positions within SNCF Group, culminating in her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of TGV Atlantique. She subsequently joined Oliver Wyman as a Partner in the Transport and Services practice before returning to the rail industry to lead Eurostar.
Alongside her executive responsibilities, she currently serves, and has previously served, as a non-executive director on the boards of organisations including Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail), Tallano Technologies and Union Financière de France. She believes that diverse teams and inclusive leadership are essential to building high-performing organisations and delivering better outcomes for customers, colleagues and society.
